RE: winterization help

Because its so easy to do, I remove the outside shower hose so it won't crack over winter. I also take the battery inside and trickle charge it every so often through the winter.

RE: GA Camping World Closing (please read)

If they would put a Camping World near Cabela's in Hamburg, Pa, they would make a killing. There is only 1 well stocked supply place near here, and it's a dealer and they are well overpriced.

RE: Camp gronds near East Stroudsburg

Mountain Vista is nice and the owners are friendly. You can check here for others in the area.

RE: DIY: make your own leveling blocks better, cheaper

I like using sx8's but I like this idea. I have some 5/4 x 6 composite pieces laying around. Maybe I'll make some blocks out of those.

RE: Bright lights in neighbors back yard

Ask the neighbors if you can paint the side of the lens that faces your house. Use black paint. They will still have their yard lit, but you won't get the glare from the light.

RE: New to this - need help from the experts

Never had any of them, but a dealer once told me to stay away from the Zeppelins. I don't know why, didn't ask. Lots of people on here love their Jaycos. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

RE: We don't have an RV, the wife was right

The OP has learned a valuable lesson: Although women are not always right, they are NEVER wrong! :B Frank Boy you can say that again! OP here. As I said in a few posts after the original, I still call them all RV's. Boy I'm in for it now.

RE: More campground danger

There is a "campground" near here that we drove through once. We pass it often, but won't go in again. Remember the show "In the Heat of The Night"? It reminds me of the bottoms.

RE: We don't have an RV, the wife was right

The Webster dictionary I reference below is the authority I grew up with. Maybe the OP can cite his reference. Otherwise I'll still classify my TT as an RV. 1 a: an inert medium (as a syrup) . . . 2: an agent of transmission : carrier 3: a medium through which something is expressed . . . 4: a means of carrying or transporting something : as a: motor vehicle b: a piece of mechanized equipment Note: I'd hate to have a motor in my cough syrup Definitions of 'vehicle' (v???-k?l) The American Heritage® Dictionary- (6 definitions) (noun) 1. A device or structure for transporting persons or things; a conveyance: a space vehicle. 2. A self-propelled conveyance that runs on tires; a motor vehicle. 2. A medium through which something is transmitted, expressed, or accomplished: His novels are a vehicle for his political views. 3. The concrete or specific word or phrase that is applied to the tenor of a metaphor and gives the metaphor its figurative power, as walking shadow in “Life's but a walking shadow” (Shakespeare) 4. A play, role, or piece of music used to display the special talents of one performer or company. 5. A substance of no therapeutic value used to convey an active medicine for administration. 6. A substance, such as oil, in which paint pigments are mixed for application. And for the record, I still call all of them RV's

We don't have an RV, the wife was right

My wife always calls motorhomes RV's and evrything else what they are(travel trailers, pop-ups, etc). I correct her and say they are all RV's. She said vehicles have motors. I looked up the definition and she was right. I guess we aren't RVers anymore. We are Travel TRAILERERS.:B

RE: More campground danger

Sorry but this story has NOTHING to do with "campgrounds" it's about an armed robbery and they occur EVERYWHERE. There is NOTHING about a campground that makes this any MORE or LESS dangerous than when you're at home. Basically ANYTHING that can happen to you at home (heart attacks, falls, divorce or becoming victims of crime and others) can ALSO occur in the campground. If it were otherwise doctors and law enforcement experts would be advising everyone to go camping so they'd be safe. Great point Skip. I think lots of people get a false sense of security in Campgrounds. I even lock my tailgate when we go to bed so no one steals my firewood. If I'm not mistaking, the CG that is in this story even has a gate to get in and out. It's a very open CG, basically an overnight stop just of 78.
